One of the presentations at last week’s InfraGard meeting was a discussion on preparing for “active shooters” – an unfortunately all-too-common problem nowadays, and one that can often only be mitigated through could planning and preparation.
What was interesting was that the presenter used resources from and pointed us to FEMA’s website, which I learned has a wealth of FREE courses on emergency, security, and general preparedness. In our case it was “IS-907: Active Shooter: What You Can Do“.
To find all of the great courses available, visit http://training.fema.gov/IS/. By the way, you’ll note that many of them even have post-tests that can be completed in order to earn CEUs.
There’s always room to learn more!
